Verifying our Fundraising Initiatives

Any individuals or groups soliciting funds on behalf of 365 Cancer Prevention Society (either on the streets, in the malls or via door-to-door) will need to possess either a copy of the Collector’s Certificate of Authority (CCA) issued by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), or a copy of fundraising permit from the Singapore Police Force.

We strongly encourage members of the public to verify the authenticity of the collector’s certificates/permits using the following methods before making any donations:

1. SMS Verification Service by Charities Unit, MCCY

Send an SMS query to 79777 using this format: FR<space><NCSS Approval No.> (e.g. FR 2011130000) or “FR 365 Cancer Prevention Society”

You will receive an SMS reply indicating whether the organisation has a valid licence or certificate.

2. Scanning QR Code

Using the QR Code scanner app from your smartphone, scan the code displayed on the Collector’s Certificate of Authority (CCA) document. The NCSS approval number can be found on the CCA that all collectors are required to carry with them.

If you suspect anyone of conducting unauthorised fundraising activities in the name of 365 Cancer Prevention Society, kindly alert us via our email at feedback@365cps.org.sg or contact us immediately at 6337 3368.

It’ll be helpful to include the following information in your feedback to us:

1. Date and Time of incident
2. Location
3. Some description of person soliciting funds (i.e. gender, age, race, built and any other distinctive features of the person)

Thank you for your partnership in helping to enhance public confidence in the charity sector.
