Strong cancer fighters can also be negatively affected by unhealthy overthinking hence it is important for them to first acknowledge the adverse effects of overthinking can have on them and take the necessary steps to prevent and/or manage their overthinking before it negatively affects their well-being.

It is also very important for caregivers to understand why and how their care receiver may act in a particular harmful way due to unhealthy overthinking. Caregivers can then take their own steps to prevent and/or manage adverse behaviors by their care receivers, in order to help them through in their cancer journey.
