At present, we are all going through this pandemic and battling the impact of COVID-19, it is crucial in these times to remind everyone that we should still consider physical activity for two key reasons.
In my opinion, exercise supports our immune system and mental health. I realised that my active lifestyle helped maintain health and reduced harmful bacterial and viral infections.
When we were hit by this crisis, many of us tended to ignore exercising regularly as a priority. We all understand that exercise supports our physical health but staying indoors and exercising outdoors were not in the books for some.
During the circuit breaker while I worked from home, I was able to maintain an exercise regime of 3 to 4 times per week for at least 20 to 30 minutes at a stretch. I felt rejuvenated.
What is important to know is the balance and undertaking of the right exercises. I always advise exercising right for who we are. If necessary, one should speak to a health professional regarding such cases where recuperation from illness and injury play a factor. Prudence is the way to go for these cases.
Let’s stay safe, maintain our hygiene regime and continue to exercise regularly so as to upkeep a healthy body and immunity and in relation our minds and focus clear. Be healthy and stay well.
Exercise Right Tips:
1. Be aware of your own health and needs. Any past injuries should be taken into consideration before attempting exercises.
